Spring Hill proper, Timber Pines, and the neighborhoods between US 19 and the Suncoast Parkway sit at the low end of the range. Ridge Manor out at US 301, Hernando Beach on the coast, and Hudson across the Pasco line sit toward the top. The fee exists because a technician shows up at your house with a load tester; it goes away, in effect, the moment you approve a repair.
That fee buys real testing, not a quick look: per-battery voltage and load test, a hydrometer check of specific gravity on flooded packs, a voltage-drop test along the main cables under load, charger output at the plug and the receptacle, and solenoid, throttle, and controller checks if the cart still will not move. Every pack price includes installation, cable and terminal inspection with anti-corrosion coating, a full watering on flooded packs, hold-down torque, a test drive, and haul-away of the old cores. Because the lead is worth recycling, we charge nothing to take the old 60-pound batteries out of your garage.
Every lithium conversion comes with a charger built for lithium, since a lead-acid charging profile cannot charge a LiFePO4 pack correctly. Carts inside Timber Pines cover 1,400 acres and four courses year-round, and there is no winter layup on the Nature Coast, so brake shoes and tires wear on a faster clock than the brochure assumes. The ground does not help: the USDA soil survey maps the Spring Hill area in the Candler-Tavares-Paola association, excessively drained sand throughout, and fine sand in a brake drum is an abrasive. The last row matters more than it looks. NOAA’s Brooksville Chin Hill normals put 30.24 inches of rain, about 58 percent of the year’s 51.94, in June through September, and a garage that stays damp for a third of the year oxidizes every cable lug and charge-port pin in it. Corroded connections mimic a dying pack. A thorough diagnostic always includes a voltage-drop check along the main cables, and it routinely swings a quote from four figures down to a cable job. F.S. 316.212(6) requires efficient brakes, reliable steering, safe tires, a rearview mirror, and red reflectorized warning devices front and rear on any designated cart street, and night operation is allowed only where the local government permits it and only with headlights, brake lights, turn signals, and a windshield. Community rules often ask for the same list. Lights do not turn a golf cart into anything else, because no shop can hand you a title or a VIN. The Nature Coast annual pays for itself. Watering and terminal care alone are the difference between a three-year and a five-year lead-acid pack in a climate where the Brooksville station counts 88.8 days a year at 90°F or above. Our checklist is on the tune-up service page.
What moves a price inside its range
- Pack voltage and battery brand. Premium Trojan 8-volts in a 48V cart cost more than budget 6-volts in a 36V cart. No other choice moves the bill as much.
- Cart type. LSVs from ICON and Evolution use different controllers, onboard chargers, and lithium battery-management systems than a 15-year-old Club Car DS. Parts cost more and diagnostics take longer.
- Lifted and modified carts. Oversized tires, custom rims, and aftermarket controllers raise parts cost and can add labor.
- Corrosion. A cart that has lived on a Hernando Beach canal for years without terminal care often needs cables replaced alongside the batteries. Ask to see the corroded cable before it goes on the bill.
- Distance. How far we drive changes the trip fee only; repair prices stay put. Repair prices are the same in Ridge Manor as in Timber Pines.
What is not on the list
We leave out two kinds of work. Factory warranty work is not covered, since we are an independent service that Club Car, E-Z-GO, Yamaha, ICON, and Evolution have not authorized. Warranty claims belong with your selling dealer. And we will not quote a repair we would not recommend: on an old cart with a tired frame, a failing controller, and a dead pack, the honest number is sometimes “put the money toward a newer cart,” not a $2,000 ticket.

Give us the make, the year if you have it, how many batteries it carries (six 6-volts is 36V; six 8-volts or four 12-volts is 48V), gas or electric, and the symptom.
